StAeLieS aWaRd

Staelie received an award from school. It was an award that they only give to one student in each class and they present them at a school assembly. Staelies teacher called earlier in the week and had invited us to come but did not tell Staelie about the award or that we had been invited. It was so funny to see her face when her class came in for the assembly and she saw us sitting there. It was even funnier to see the look on her face when her name was called for the award. She was a little stunned. I am so proud of her for her hard work and how much time she spends practicing her spelling, doing her reading, finishing up her homework and just plain old trying hard and doing her best at school. It was so nice to have her teacher notice and that they have an award to honor the students who have done this. Staelie needed that extra little boost. I am so glad she was able to achieve this and that we were able to attend. GOOD JOB STAELIE!!!!! Theses are not very good pictures but hey I tried. It would help if I could remember my camera and not just the phone.

Here are just some fun pictures I was able to get of the kids (and Jose) having a good time at the park. Jentrie and Staelie were being quite acrobatics. Stockden was just all over the place. He loves the swings and it was hard to get a good picture. It was nice weather and it was nice to spend park of the day at the park together!!!

Happy Birthday Grandma!!!!

My wonderful amazing Grandma turned 80 this year.

This is at our family Christmas party where we celebrated her birthday. She looks fabulous!!

She received a book that had letters everyone had written to her. Family and friends. There were also drawings from her grand kids and great grand kids along with some pictures.

Christmas Eve 2011

We started a tradition a few years ago that we have Christmas Eve at my house. This year was no different. My mom, dad, Kati, Ashlee, Kacee, Sam, Ron and Grandma were all able to make it. We just have dinner and then hang out. This year we kept it pretty simple, soup, bread sticks, treats, and hot chocolate bar was what was on the menu.Kati started giving the kids pjs for Christmas and they get to open them on Christmas Eve. I think that is the kids favorite part. I love having everyone come over.

Family Christmas Party

This year we had our family Christmas Party at the Alumni House. I think we all had an amazing time. My grandma sure puts in a a lot of hard work to make these get together so fun. The food was delicious. The Natavity scene was so cute. The kids all loved looking for the M&M in the ice cream cake. Stockden was thrilled when he won. Everyone just seemed to have such a good time. Thank you Grandma

Oh my word I am not sure how I got this far behind but I have. WOW!!!! There has been a lot going on and I hate when I forget to write about it as it is happening. Here are a bunch of small posts to try to remember what we had going.
Just because I am thinking about it, Stockden turns to me the other day after a snow storm and says Mom we do not eat yellow snow.  Then another day he turned to me and said I don't have to be good anymore Christmas is over. Ha Ha what a funny kid. He has a really bad habit of not wearing socks and it drives my poor mother crazy. We went down to her house the other day and he walks in her house and the 1st thing he says to her is Grandma I'm wearing socks!!! The girls have been busy and crazy as ever. They are all liking school and making some good friends.

Playing Catch Up

Time is sure flying by and I am having a really hard time keeping up. It is getting closer and closer to Christmas and I am just not ready. The kids are getting really excited and Stockden is still just trying to figure it all out. We have had some snow and that has been fun. Stockden loves to go drive his tractor in it because it makes tracks.  I am not loving shoveling the driveway but oh well.

The kids all love going to Andres and Sarah's house they always have the coolest animals there. This last time Stockden was able to help Andres feed a bottle to one of the baby puppies.

He was so proud of himself. It was fun to watch. They also had a chinchilla that they had just gotten. Jentrie loved it. She had it on a leash and was trying to walk it in the house. She thought we needed one.

Jentrie has been such a funny girl this last little while. She found some glasses in the shed that had fallen out of one of the Halloween totes and has been dressing up as a nerd just to make people laugh.

McKall had her dance review on the 13th. She did such a great job. I did not get any pictures since she had a choir concert right before and actually had to leave in the middle to make it to dance. She loves the hip hop dances and it is so fun to watch her get into the dance like she does.
Staelie has been able to spend some time with Synara and had loved this. She loves to walk down to the pet store to check out the animals.

Here is just a cute picture of Stockden holding Gabriel. Stock thinks he is so big when he gets to hold the baby. Then here are just a couple of pictures of the baby.
