Next Door Neighbors

I have the cutest, nicest, friendliest, next door neighbors ever. Thora and Bob and wonderful patient people and I am so happy to have them next door. They are older folks and have tons of kids, grand kids, and great grand kids that come to visit and they still love to see my kids. I was getting Stockden from out front today when Thora was getting her mail so she came over to visit. During the course of our conversation she tells me that the other day Stockden came over to her house, opened the front door and came in. Thora told him it was fine to come in he just couldn't bring the dog in. I guess that did not sit well with Stockden so he left. The next thing she knows he has gone around the side of her house and in the kitchen door. What a stinker. The dog could still not come in so he went home. I was horrified. I couldn't believe that he had just walked in her house and that we hadn't known. She just laughed and said he was more than welcome to come over just not the dog. She is too funny and Stockden is too crazy. I am still convinced that Jose was suppose to be watching him. Ha ha!!!

All I Want For Easter is My 2 Front Teeth

Staelie has lost another tooth. My word. She had to wait forever to finally lose the 1st one and then after that one came out they all want to come out. I think she still has 4 more teeth that are loose. Crazy girl. She was so excited for it to come out. It did have to have my help again but that's OK. She is now missing her 2 front teeth. Too bad it is not Christmas time. Sorry for the bad jokes this is what happens when it is after 3 in the morning and I should be working.

Staelie looks so cute. We took some pictures after it came out and she is trying so hard to show the missing tooth. I love her she is too funny. We did tell her that she was not allowed to wash it this time. We also told her that the tooth fairy gives you one free pass of losing your tooth but probably wouldn't be so nice the second time. She put it in a bag but still had such a hard time leaving it alone. Hopefully the tooth fairy will pay her a visit

Science Fair

Can I tell you I HATE the science fair. I think when teachers require their students to participate it really is just a punishment for the parents. I am not experiment smart and it causes me a lot of stress. So thank you to those teachers that require it. Jentries teacher was one of those lovely teachers that required science fair participation this year. I did tell her at parent teacher how much I hated this. It is a good thing that Mrs. Simpson is so dang cute and I really like her. It could have caused problems. Ha ha not really.

Anyway so Jentrie had to participate in the science fair for her grade. She participated last year and placed 3rd. Go Mom oops I mean Jentrie. I really feel like these projects are for parents not the kids. So this year time completely got away from us and before we knew it we had just 7 days until the science fair. Jentrie decided to do one that was testing Oxyclean to see if it really works. We bought Tide detergent for our base, oxyclean, 2 black washcloths and 2 white hand towels.  She washed one black towel and one white towel in just Tide, she then washed the other black and white towel in Tide and Oxyclean. She washed them in the same amount of detergentt, on the same settings, if one was washed warm so was the other. After 10 washes she covered the towels with ketchup and strawberry syrup to see if one worked better on stains. At the end the oxyclean really did make a difference on whites but not such a big difference on colors. They both worked great on stains.
We took pictures (with grandmas camera thank you), posted them on the board, and brought the towels. She did a good job but unfortunately didn't win this year. Oh well and hopefully there is not a next year.

Jentrie just  started softball and is on the Maggie Moos team. Her jersey is HOT PINK!!! The coach seems super fun and was way excited for them to get going. Have to update when she starts her games.

Dance Competition

McKall had a dance competition on March 26th in St George. She had to be to the Dixie Center at 8:15 in the morning. On a Saturday morning! As many people know I DO NOT DO MORNINGS!!! This was just not going to work well for anyone. I do not like to get up and if I have to I am a BRAT!!! Not fun for those around me. So my wonderful mother let her come down and stay. My mom got her hair done with the help of my sister Kati, she then helped her get ready, made her a lunch and got her over there. What a great grandma. I so appreciate it.  They did such a good job on her hair and make-up she looked beautiful.

McKall danced in 4 dances, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and all-team. Her and her team looked fantastic. It was so fun to watch her. She is such a great dancer. All of their dances qualified for Nationals. This is a huge deal for the dancers and the studio. Jeanine (owner/teacher at the point) took 3 competition teams and 10 dances and all 10 dances qualified for nationals. Nationals are on May 7th in Salt Lake at Lagoon. It would be so much fun to go. We are not sure if we are going or not. Jeanine has sent out an email for parents to decide. I have to choose for us and then wait and see what the studio decides. I love the waiting game. Ha ha. I am so proud of McKall and her team for a great job.

It is always fun to watch the girls dance. We were not sure if McKall would be dancing or not. She came home from school the Friday before throwing up. She was sick the rest of the afternoon. She didn't go to soccer practice, opted out of dinner, and it must have done the trick. She was ready to go the next morning.
As I have said before my poor camera has still never surfaced so I have no pictures to share. But trust me the dancers looked great.  Congrats to The Point!!!

CVHS Cheer Review

So it was the Canyon View Cheerleaders night to shine and Jentrie was the lucky one that got to dance at the review. She is on the Enoch Preteam and seem to like it. She is a great dancer she likes it she just doesn't love it. It makes McKall so mad that Jentrie can do things so easily and McKall has to work for them and Jentrie just doesn't care that much. Oh well. Jose took her and was able to watch her dance. I missed it Staelie was home sick and McKall was at soccer and didn't get home soon enough. I got to the school right as she finished. I was so sad. I guess they had a dance group not show up so Jentrie danced sooner than expected.
Here are pictures of her in her costume before she went and also one with her glasses on. Jentrie got glasses at the 1st of February and loves them. I was so embarrassed when I took her to the eye Doctor and realized that she could not see. The eye Dr joked with her and said lets check to see how blind you are. I felt horrible for not checking it out sooner. She looks so cute in them though.

She has played 3 games so far they have all been down in St.George but next Saturday the game is in Cedar and I am so happy about this. She is #18. There are pictures of her on the field and then waiting to go in. She was so hot from playing and didnt love me taking her picture. 1st Lost Tooth

I know I posted yesterday but today's events warranted its own post. Staelie has finally lost her first tooth. She was so excited. She had me finish getting it out since it was barley hanging in there, a quick twist and out it came. She was jumping up and down and just kept looking at the tooth. She was too cute. She can not wait to go to school and tell her teacher so she can join the lost tooth wall. The poor little thing though decided to try and clean it she set it on the side of the sink and then by accident knocked it down the drain. She was hysterical, Lucky for us Jentrie was hear and has her own tools. She took right to the job. She ran downstairs got her tool bag and headed under the sink. Jentries friend Destiny was here so she was the helper. They got right to work taking apart the pipes under the bathroom sink and a few min later Jent had found Staelies tooth. Staelie was so grateful to them for helping her out. She could not quit grinning and telling Jentrie thank you and how much she loves her.
Then the hard part came with Jentrie and Destiny having to put the pipes back together. They finished and both said they had no desire to be plumbers. Ha ha.
So tonight we are anxiously awaiting a visit from the tooth fairy!!!! Here are pictures of her smile we didn't dare take one of the tooth. These are off of my cell phone no camera still.

SEP

So it is SEP week for the kids and today was my day for the updates. I met with Mrs. Roundy first. She is McKalls teacher, she had nothing but great things to say about McKall how well she was doing and how much she enjoyed having her in her class. We also got to register for 7th grade. I am still trying to figure out how she got this old. I could swear it was not very long ago that we were signing up for kindergarten. Oh well. She signed up for choir again she has really enjoyed this. She also picked begining drama perfect for my own drama queen. She is a great kid and I am so proud of how hard she works. I never have to worry about her getting her assignments done she is always on top of it. Way to go McKall!!!

Staelie was next she is in 1st grade and in Mrs. VanBlaircoms class. She is such a cute teacher. She had many fun cute things to say about Staelie it was so nice to hear. She said she is a great student and she does her work with out being asked and she doesnt have to worry about her not paying attention or talking when she should not be. Staelies reading has just gone thru the roof which I love and makes her teacher very happy. She is advancing and learning all the things that she should. She said that her favorite thing to do is write. Her teacher says that whenever she finishes early that is what she asks to do. Stae is always making books at home too. She is working so hard and I am so proud of her. While I was talking with Mrs. Van Jentrie comes in to inform me that they have lost Stockden. Lovely!!! I cut my meeting short to help look for him. McKall was watching him and had to go into the bathroom and he took off. Needless to say we found him a few min later, he had gone outside to the playground and the doors were locked so he could not come back in. The joys of a 2 year old.

Jentrie was last, she is in 4th grade and in Mrs. Simpsons class. We really love her. McKall had her for 3rd and 4th grade so it is like visiting with a friend when we go see her. She loves having Jentrie in her class and makes comments about how different McKall and Jentrie are. They are night and day. She said Jentrie works very hard and always gets her work done. She is very thoughtful and caring and so little drama. Mrs Simpson had to move Jentries desk because 2 of the boys in the class would not quit talking to her. She said that no matter where she moves Jentrie these boys keep trying to talk to her. Too funny. She gets to participate in the science fair for their book report this month. Jent is super excited un like her mother. Jentrie is a straight A student and works hard for this. I am so proud of her. She loves school and is always doing her best. Way to go Jentrie!!!

I love hearing all the great things other people notice about my kids. I love to hear how hard they work and how well they are doing. They are so good to get their homework done and make sure that it is right. We then headed to the book fair for the buy one get one free sale. This is their favorite thing. What a great way to spend the afternoon.

On a differnt note still no camera. Have called the high school a couple of times and it still has not been turned it. I cleaned out the van and no camera. I talked to the Talon coach and she had not seen it but would be on the lookout for it. Hopefully someone will find it. I sure do miss it.

Life is still crazy with dancing, soccer, church activites and school work but thats ok thats they way we like it I guess. Hopefully pictures in a post soon.

Lost Camera

I have lost my camera!!! This picture is not of my camera but one very similar mine is light pink. I went to the Talon Review yesterday at Canyon View High School to watch McKall dance. I was doing so good at remembering to take pictures. We were getting ready to leave and I stopped to take a few pictures of her in her Alice costume. I think I must have set it on the table with the Talon awards and left. I can not find it anywhere. I have searched the purse and van. I called the high school and no one has turned it in. The nice lady answering the phones was going to email the Talon instructor and see if they found it when there were cleaning up. I so hope so!! I am so sad about my camera, all of my New York pictures were on there and I do not have any of them saved to a CD yet. Hopefully someone will find it and return it or it will be found somewhere in our mess.

On a better note McKall did so good at dance. They performed their All-Team dance and it is so cute. The dance to Alice in Wonderland and some of the girls are Alice and the rest are Mad Hatters. This is their first year using props and it is such a fun dance to watch. McKall makes a very good Alice with the blonde hair and all. She is dancing again on Friday at the SUU drill team review. Her traveling soccer team has also started their games and had their first one on saturday at Desert Hillls in St George. They played in the pouring rain. It never stopped and everyone was soaked. Oh well the joys of sports. McKall had a choir concert last week and it was so much fun. They did a tribute to Rock n Roll. You could tell the kids loved singing these songs. They danced and had boys with mullets and guitars. It was so funny. I did tell Jose it sure makes you feel old when they are singing the songs you loved growing up. They sang "We build this city on Rock and Roll" I use to LOVE that song. She did such a good job.

Jentries mouth seems to be doing good no color changes or pain so we will keep our fingers crossed. We were able to get her signed up for little league and she can not wait to play, her and her friends are already talking about the team to be on the and the one not to be one. She is a lunch worker this week and thinks that it is the coolest thing ever!!! She reminds me everyday to make sure her hair is pulled up in a ponytail, braid or pig tails for her lunch time job. She takes it very seriously. She is too funny.

Staelie is doing good, she has gotten over her cold. We bought a month pass to the Aquatic Center and Staelie is wanting to go all the time she just loves it. She puts on her life jacket and is off. She loves the to go down the slide and spends most of her time doing this.

Stockden is finally better!! Hooray!!! He was such a nice boy and made sure to share his illness with Jose and me. We both have fun sinus infections. Oh well.

Life is crazy but thats ok it lets us know we are still living I guess. Sorry such a weird post hopefully I will find my camera and get to post the pictures from dance.
